"Salvation is a Gift from God!"Commentary'sCan you imagine what and how the disciples felt when they seen that Jesus has risen from the dead? They saw a man that they had walked with and learned from for 3 years, He died and then after 3 days, came back to them, and was alive.

We were not lucky enough to see that great moment, but we have because Jesus went to the Cross for our sins, is no longer a hope or a wish of seeing our Lord again, but it is a promise . Our inheritance as God’s children is eternal, full of glory, and secured forever. Even in our suffering, we have every reason to rejoice. The mystery of God’s plan has been revealed to us in Jesus Christ. Through the Grace of God, He gave us His Son to take our sins on, nailed to a Cross, died, rose, and ascended to Heaven and now sitting on the right hand of the Father, so we can be saved.

Read what Peter said in

1 Peter 1:19-25. “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” 1 Peter 1:19-25.

Love one another fervently: Holy living is incomplete if it is not accompanied by love. To be a Christian means to have a sincere love of the brethren, but we are encouraged to exercise that love fervently.

Love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again: Such love is only possible (and only to be expected) of those who have been born again by the eternal word of God.

Again, Peter did not use the same wording for born again as is found in John 3; but he did use the exact same idea.

Through the word of God which lives and abides forever: We are born again… through the word of God. But it doesn’t only give us new life. It also tells us to love one another. If the word of God is as Isaiah 40:8 says it is – the word of the Lord which endures forever, then we are both obligated by it and empowered by it, to live out the kind of love and holiness.

You did not earn Salvation, it comes by the Grace of God and was paid for by the Lord Jesus Christ. This is why everyday, we should get on our knees and pray and give thanks to God.
