We Are Jesus' disciples:Commentary's"So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:33

Who is Luke referring to? Are we automatically Jesus' disciples? Answer; No! For us to enter into a true discipleship, it requires us to make radical reordering of our priorities. We have to formally and deliberately reject, disown, or forsake, sin, idols, false teachings, or worldly desires—often in favor of God, signifying a decisive turning away to align with divine will. In a relative sense, this even means your family and life itself, to make Jesus the absolute center of our life. We have to organize (things) so that the most important thing is done or dealt with first. I am talking about His kingdom above all earthly things, meaning everything else becomes secondary or a tool for God's purposes rather than a selfish end. It's a call to count the cost and surrender control, not necessarily a literal command to give away everything physically, but to give over everything to Jesus' purposes.

To try and summarize what I am talking about, we must be born again and turn our life over to the Lord Jesus Christ completely. We all must realize that following Jesus isn't a side project; it's the core purpose, it requires a willingness to let go of anything that competes with that ultimate devotion, including wealth, family, and self-preservation, to be His disciple.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus Name, Amen."
